Rivers can be very dangerous, when filming near them it is wise to have a team of Whitewater Rescue Technicians on hand to ensure safety near the edge and to deal with any issues that may arise.

ESI can advise on the PPE and safety systems required such as tethering members of the crew on work restraint so that they never enter the water and can put systems in place for those entering the water such as tension diagonals and downstream technicians who are competent using throwlines. This can also include tyrolean traverses and highlines for the movement and placement of crew and their equipment in areas where there are no other options to cross the river.
